I get asked all the time why we don’t grow our own hemp crop. The answer is actually pretty simple: we focus on what we are best at. Instead, we practice what we call soil to sale relationship building. We partner with local farms and farmers who practice the farming techniques that we support, allowing us to hand select the most beautiful crops our wonderful local area can provide.
Our newest partner farm is Galaxy Farms of Southern Oregon, a beautiful little patch of heaven nestled between the Siskiyou and Cascade Mountains. Galaxy Farms grows organic hemp using permaculture practices in an effort to nourish the soil and leave their land better off with each successive season. Galaxy Farms is all about cultivating community on their farm and creating a symbiotic relationship between their activity above ground, and the lively community of insects, worms, and microbes below the surface. Similarly, by working with Galaxy Farms and other small, local farmers, we are able to ensure that these farming practices that we support are able to survive, and that the money stays within our local, small business community.
Once the crop is grown, we turn it into products with the same care, attention, passion, and social and environmental desires as our farmers. In this way, we see ourselves as continuing the work of these amazing farmers, while bringing real plant based treatments to customers at the lowest prices possible. Sticking to what we do best means that we are able to ensure that everything we do is to the highest standard, and everything we make is the best CBD treatment it can be.
